communication skills

task #1

1.written- notes-email-text messages
(1)notes- problems that could come from communications with notes would probably be loosing the paper. thats the only problem i could think of. to resolve that problem stay organized and keep everything in place.
(2)email- a problem with writing an email is that the email could get deleted or erased and there would be no form of proof that it was there. A way to resolve this problem would be saving a draft for yourself or printing the document.
(3)text messages-text messages are fast and easy but not alot of room to talk and it takes a long time. to resolve this problem just call the other person and talk on the phone.

2.verbal-telephone-face2face-webcam
(1)telephone- the problem with telephones is that the call could be lost or the other person could be busy. an easy way to resolve this is to take out time to make the call sit down and make sure the other person is to.
(2)face2face- this communication would probably be the one i recommend the most, you can get your point straight across and see facial expressions as well as full attention. the problem with this is that there could possibly be an argument started with face2face communication.
(3)webcam- this form of communication can be used if your far away from another person and want them to see you. The problem with this is the connection could be bad. to resolve this problem see them face to face.

3.non-verbal-facial expressions-sign language-clothing
(1)facial expressions- this type of communication is used probably when someone is mad at another person or when they want to express there feelings towards another person.
(2)sign language-this communication is good for people that are deaf, the problem with this is that not everyone understands sign language, to resolve this everyone should learn sign language in school
(3) clothing- this is good communication- you can advertise with clothing or simply state what you believe in with words or symbols. people can see what type of person you are by the way you dress. the problem with this is not everyone has money to buy the clothes they want.

task #2
My communication skills are excellent. Im always a friendly person and I have great manners. I always tend to smile when I meet new people which is a great non verbal communication skill. Ive always had good grammar so when i write a letter or send an email the other person knows what i am talking about. I think that everyone has there own communications skills and they can vary but my communication skills are good verbally, nan verbally, and written.

blog post
At my service learning at The Age of Council in Athens, i have met alot of mew people that i really enjoy seeing. Theres this guy named Carl, he has lazhimerz but he is so nice and so friendly. You cannot understand what he is saying but when he sees me he gets excited because he knows who i am. The last Wednesday i went we had alot of fun. It was a couple of folks birthday so we had a little party and cake. We played games and had so much fun. We played balloon volley ball which was the best game yet. All the women and men participated and had so much fun with one another. All the ladies there are so nice and friendly. An old wamon at the age of 98 inspired me to be a healthier person because she was up walking around and cleaning.

~Attitudes~

My Attitude is flawless.
I can change like the diaper on a baby
My attitude can be as light as a feather
or as evil as the devil
as crazy as midea
as silly as a pickle
giggle from a tickle
mean as the queen
floss like a boss
chill like my swagg is ill
my attitude is rood
it can make you puke
it can be extreme
make you want to scream
make you smile for awhile

attitudes

My attitude can range from good to bad within 2 seconds depending on how i am feeling. I try to keep a positive attitude at all times. When im working or at school i try not to let my attitude effect my work effort.Being at school or work is more important than loosing your job because of an attiude problem.
I think its easy to get an attitude if someone is rude to you but its always the best thing to do if you kill it with kindness.

My internship at The Athens coucil on Aging

I really like having this oppurtunity to work with older people, and learn about different kinds of disabilities and people. My supervisor, Mrs. Annie Lumpkin is a very kind hearted laid back woman. She is very dedicated to her job and very dependable.
If i could have a quality that Mrs. Lumpkin has, i would want to be as dependable and friendly as her. Everyone there loves her and she treats everyone with respect like she would want to be treated. When i went there we all played a game where everyone sat in a circle and followed a leader who did different things with there hands and feet, then someone had to guess who the leader was. It was a perfect activity that was fun for everyone there.
I really like one of the gentlemen that i work with his name is Carl, he has alzheimer's but he is so sweet and I love talking to him. Another gentleman named Chris can't speak so he uses his on kind of sign language. I really believe this experience is going to help me in the long run. I feel like this will change my outlook on life.

cellphone etiquette quiz

On the cell phone quiz i did really good, the quiz said i have good manners. I dont disrupt class or work. I excuse myself when i need to make an important call. Since i don't draw attention to myself, it said be proud. Im very proud because this is how i was raised with manners and respect for my elders. I grew up saying thankyou and your welcome, so when i got my cell phone manners came with it for free. I don't know why it's like that it just comes natural to me. I was raised to treat people the way i want to be treated, i know i wouldnt want to be distracted by a cell phone so i do not distract anyone with my phone.
